Car RALLY 2007!!!!
Last Saturday we invaded the streets of Winnipeg for yet another exciting CAR RALLY!!! OOOOOH! The GLEE!!! And guess what? I took part and was a DRIVER!!! So needless to say, people ran screaming out of the streets and made sure to stay off the roads and out of my way!!! Now before you all get fresh, I will have you know that I am a very safe driver…you could even go on to say that I am the posterchild for the DMV! My hands are always at 10 and 2, and I always wear my seatbelt. I always check my mirrors and signal when pulling into traffic. And I NEVER run over pedestrians…

We all gathered by Cleopas and Jeanette’s condo. We all ran bursting in through the doors, all giddy, with the taste of burnt rubber in our mouthes. We got out instructions, went outside, and at the sound of Cleopas desperately squealing “GOOO!” we all knocked each other out of the way, and beat it to our cars! I ran as fast as my hamhocks were willing to take me, which meant, I was the last to the car I was driving!
We all took off in a flash! I had with me Jeanette, Melvin and Beauford. We tore through the street, ran up and down things, climbed things. scared people senseless…which leads me to my first digression! We had to get a guy to wear pigtails! Now WHO came up with that idea? It certainly was not I!!! We went to an Applebee’s where the guy at the front who seats people had long hair. So we asked politely if he would oblige us by taking a picture of himself in pigtails with a sign that said…well, let’s not get into that! I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP YOU KNOW!!! Anyway, I think he thought we were nuts and after a second round of begging, he said he would go tell his manager that he would be away from his counter for two minutes to oblige us. He never came back! So, we skipped daintily over to the nearby McDonalds where I got a female manager to MAKE one of her subordinates to do the job! Let’s just say that the guy was terrified out of his wits and was only doing this because he was made to do it! I felt bad for him, and a bit guilty too, but only for two minutes!!
In the end, we were the second team to arrive. There were three teams by the way. And my team tied for first place! GO YELLOW!!!! Afterwards, we all had a time of worship, and one by one we began going home.
It was indeed a fun night! Hopefully on the next one next year, the organizers will come up with something else other than making people wear pigtails! I think you all think I am obssessed with them, and I really am not. For that’s just silly!
So now, I am BACH in Toronto, and am now apartment shopping! I have found the place I want, and will get a formal viewing tomorrow. More to come on that later.
